In breaking down the production of “The DJ Is Crying For Help” during a November 22, 2022 livestream, Ryan shared that “Waiting for the Beat to Drop” was originally an early draft of “3 O'Clock Things” with different lyrics. Then in a Ryan Masterclass on July 31, 2024, Ryan revealed that “Waiting For The Beat to Drop” had a part that was reused and put in the ending of “The DJ Is Crying For Help”.
